Rooted in Action.
Growing for Impact.

SBCC (Sustainable Bamboo Carbon Capture) is developing a 1,000-hectare bamboo plantation in Moyamba, Sierra Leone to capture asmuch CO₂ from the atmosphere as possible.
In June 2025, we planted the first 60,000 bamboo plants. The next 25,000 will be planted in January 2026 — and we're just getting started.
Our plantation combines sustainable land management, local employment, and green technology to fight climate change where itmatters most: in the soil.
"Every bamboo we plant is a living engine of carbon capture — growing faster and working harder than trees."
Allenergy AG, a Swiss holding company which was established in 2013, is our majority shareholder.

Nature's Fastest Carbon Capture Technology

Bamboo is one of the world's most powerful natural tools for restoring the
planet. It grows incredibly fast — storing carbon above and below ground while
regenerating degraded soil.
Fast Growth
Grows up to 30x faster than trees
Massive CO₂ Absorption
Stores up to 10x more carbon than most trees
Restores Soil
Prevents erosion and enriches land
Renewable Resource
Replaces wood, plastic, and fossil materials

CO₂ Absorption Comparison

Bamboo
~79kg CO₂/year per plant
Average Tree
~8kg CO₂/year per tree

Your Bamboo.
Your Impact.

When you buy a bamboo plant, you become the owner of a living carbon absorber in our plantation. We plant it, nurture it, and make sure it grows strong — capturing CO₂ for years to come.
  • You buy your bamboo
  • We plant and care for it in Sierra Leone
  • You receive updates on its growth and impact
  • It captures CO₂ and supports the local community
  • We only sell 20% of the plants in the plantation where we have income from
  • 100% of the plantation is securing the revenue
The plantation will create revenues via the sale of carbon credits for the capture of CO2 but also with selling bamboo for poles, flooring, insulation and as shoots or biomass. As the majority of the bamboo is growing underground and even grows faster after first harvest we are able to sell products every 3rd year where all products sold will retain their stored carbon.

Invest in Bamboo Plantation

A bamboo orestry project in Sierra Leone that produces bamboo for CO2 offsetting and produces sustainable raw materials to replace fossil fuels, PVC, steel etc.
For every €450 investment you will own 3 plants in our plantation. They are already planted and growing fast since February 2025.
When you invest €450 today you will get the following returns:
  • From year 3, you earn €45 interest every year.
  • From year 6, we start returning your €450 in five yearly payments of €90.
  • Over 10 years, you receive €810 back, meaning you earn €360 profit on a €450 investment.
Investors acquire just 20% of the bamboo plants in our plantation — but benefit from the power of all 70,000 thriving bamboo trees. Every single tree contributes to the plantation’s total revenue, and 100% of that revenue is dedicated to delivering the returns promised to our investors.
In other words: while you invest in only a portion of the plants, your returns are backed by the full productivity of the entire plantation. This unique model maximizes stability, enhances earning potential, and ensures your investment is secured by the strength of the whole ecosystem.
Our bamboo will initially be used primarily as a building material or as biomass. Examples include pressed wood “boards” or floors made from bamboo. The great thing about this product is that it is 100% biodegradable and produces no waste or residual material. This makes bamboo a sustainable alternative to steel, PVC, hardwood, cotton, and composite materials. The residues are used as biomass to replace fossil fuels further enhancing the sustainability of the project.
